Digger the dog makes the 100K club!!

One hundred and seventy swimmers showed up today to join Digger the dog in his 100th crossing of lake cane.  Digger got all the cool stuff too.  The cap, the write up on the web (his bio here), and his paw print highlighted in yellow. Ron Davis (Digger’s human) completed his 200th crossing for the third time (inside joke, we have your T-shirt ready).  George Mann (aka Cypress Sam on the cowboy shooting circuit) demonstrated his two handed whip cracking skills after the swim (where else could you see such stuff).  Congratulations to Jay Murphy who is our most recent (human) to make it into the the 100K club (read his bio here).  If you have not checked out this month’s (JUNE) Orlando Magazine be sure to do so as they have a nice write up on Lucky’s Lake Swim.  Also be on the lookout for Orlando Homes and Leisure Magazine, they will be having a huge write up on the lake swim in their July issue.

A request from Lucky Meisenheimer.  “Special Olympics swimming starts up on Tuesday evening at 6:30 at the YMCA Aquatic Center.  For those interested in volunteering as a coach (we need lots of in-water coaches to do one-on-one with some of our most challenged athletes) please show up at the YMCA Aquatic Center at 6:30.  Many Thanks”
